FACIAL HYPERHIDROSIS
FACIAL HYPERHIDROSIS - CAUSES AND TREATMENT WITH MAXIM PLUS
Facial hyperhidrosis or an excessively sweating face effects probably about 1 million people in the United States. The cause of facial hyperhidrosis tends towards two thought camps. One is "idiopathic" or "primary" hyperhidrosis. The other is "secondary" hyperhidrosis. Primary facial hyperhidrosis results from no known cause. The sweating in the face is simply uncontrollable and typically the more one sweats in the face, the more anxious one becomes and then the more one sweats. It's a vicious cycle .
Facial hypherhidrois that is secondary typically has a cause. These causes can range from hyperthyroidism, obesity, diabetes or a rare tumor of the adrenal gland called pheocromocytoma.
There are a couple options for treating facial hyperhidrosis. One is a prescription pill called Ditropan. This is an anticholinergic pill that will basically dry out your system. It is FDA approved for urinary incontinence but it makes you dry. You can take 5 mg 1-2 times per day and you will see some results. Some people report that once their sweating is under control, they have less anxiety and therefore, they can reduce the cycle of anxiety vs. sweatnig.
Another facial hyperhidrosis treatment is relatively new. It's an aluminum free antiperspirant called Maxim Plus. Click the science behind Maxim Plus.
